We are committed to doing business with you in a manner that respects your privacy. Therefore, we have developed the following Privacy Statement. This Statement describes (a) what personal data is; (b) what kind of personal data we may collect from you; (c) how, when and where we may collect that data; (d) how we may use that data; (e) whether we share it with anyone; (f) the steps we will take to keep your personal data safe; and, (g) your rights regarding our handling of your personal data. Most importantly, it will explain (h) the choices you have regarding our use of your personal data.

(A) Personal data is information that lets Amway know specifically who you are, such as your name. It can also include information which alone enables Amway to easily determine who you are, such as your address, telephone number and date of birth.
(B) With your consent (as evidenced by your use of the ‘Contact Us’ function of the Website), we may collect the following personal data, among other data, from you from time to time:
(C) We will not knowingly collect personal data from any minor under the age of 18. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will eliminate that data from our databases.
(D) Your IP address is visible to Amway when you visit the website. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are connected to the Internet. Your IP number is visible to most of the websites that you visit. We only use IP numbers to diagnose problems with our servers, to administer and to collect statistics relating to usage of.
In general, you can contact Amway by visiting this website without telling Amway who you are or revealing any personal data other than your IP address. You may, however, voluntarily provide personal data to be shared through your use of the ‘Contact Us’ facility for purposes of contacting Amway to respond to your comments or inquiries. In such event, we might maintain a record of your contact, including related personal data, in a file specific to you or in a file containing records of contact similar to yours.
(E) Cookies cannot be executed as code or used to deliver a virus. Other servers cannot read them and personal information cannot be gathered from them. They are simply an identifier shared between you and Amway; we do not share them with anyone outside of Amway, Amway affiliates and Third Parties referenced above.
If you do not want to accept cookies from the website or other sites, your browser software should allow you to decline to accept cookies. Look, for example, in the Preferences or Internet Options features of your browser to do this. However, you should know that if you disable acceptance of cookies or modify your cookies in any manner, you may not be able to access the website or specific information, materials and/or services available on the website.
The website does not use either Active-X or Java applets.
(F) The personal data which we will collect from you will be used to answer your comments and/or questions to Amway and for no other purpose.
(G) Amway does not give, sell, rent or trade your personal data. Amway will not share your data with third parties, unless necessary or appropriate to let Amway operate its business, or to perform its duties to you. With all third parties to whom we may provide your personal data, we will have an agreement that they will treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with this Privacy Statement and the law. Our agreements with Third Parties will require the third parties to use your personal data only for the purposes specified in the agreement. These purposes will never be greater in scope than the purposes for which we use your personal data as described above. Third parties will never be permitted to use your personal data for their own purposes. Further, Third parties will not be permitted to transfer your personal data to other third parties unless required for the purposes of their agreement with Amway.
In addition, we may disclose any or all of your personal information to third parties with whom we do not have an agreement if we are required to do so by law. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful. Finally, we may release personal data when we reasonably feel it is necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of others or ourselves.
(H) Of course, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties who may provide access or links to our information, materials, products and/or services. It is your responsibility to check with these third parties to learn about their privacy practices.
(I) We will store personal data in databases maintained by Amway in Europe or at our headquarters in the USA. We will never transfer personal data outside of the European Union except to our affiliates and parties which take measures to protect the security of the personal data at least equivalent to those outlined herein.
Electronic databases shall be maintained in secure stand-alone servers located in controlled and secure areas. Personal data that is stored electronically shall be backed up periodically. The backup data shall be retained in a second controlled and secure area. For personal data stored electronically, such personal data will only be accessible to users employed or authorised by Amway, affiliates, subsidiaries and/or divisions of Amway and third parties who have approved login identification numbers and password protection, and where required by applicable law, such parties will be subject to all necessary technical and organizational security measures.
Hard copies of personal data shall be kept in a secure location or file cabinet at Amway. Such location or file cabinet must be kept locked when not in use. Access to the location and/or the file cabinet in which such personal data is kept shall be limited to individuals whose employment by the Amway affiliate requires them to have such access.
(J) In addition to your other rights as outlined in this Privacy Statement, you have the following rights related to your personal data:
Access and Correction of Your Personal Data We are the data controller responsible for processing your personal data. Your rights under applicable law may include access to personal data under our control as well as the right to have such personal data corrected or erased. To exercise this right, you must make a written request for information on your personal data directly to Amway. We may also send you questionnaires or notices containing certain personal data for your review and correction. Finally, all documents which we send to you in the normal course of business which contain your personal data will require your review of such personal data for accuracy. If any personal data is incorrect, you must complete a Personal Data Change Request Form and mail or fax it to Amway at the address specified thereon.
Deletion of Your Personal Data Upon Termination You are entitled to have your personal data erased from our database within a reasonable time after it has served its purpose. As a general rule, we will try to ensure that personal data relating to you is deleted from our systems within three (3) months of responding to your inquiry, unless an ongoing business reason exists to retain data for longer periods of time.
(K) We may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to reflect changes in laws and regulations or our changing practices. We encourage you to check this Privacy Statement frequently.
